A future where every Irish farm helps build thriving nature, healthy communities, and resilient landscapes.
We scale nature-friendly farming in Ireland by funding and supporting farmers to restore biodiversity, improve ecosystems, and create measurable impact – in partnership with farmers, businesses, public bodies, and researchers.
ReFarm builds a practical, scalable model that channels investment to farmers, helping them deliver real ecological and social impact. Drawing on proven Irish examples like the Burren Programme, The Hare’s Corner Project, and Farming for Nature, we mobilise private and public finance to support both actions and outcomes.
ReFarm research is led by Trinity College Dublin, with researchers in the Business School and School of Natural Sciences undertaking world-class, independent research supporting nature-positive farming and sustainable business models. Learn more about the research programme below.
Farmers are at the heart of ReFarm, leading nature-friendly action on their land. Around them is a growing community of funders, partners, researchers, and stakeholders working together to deliver fair funding, practical support, and measurable impact.
