ReFarm at the National Ploughing Championships 2025

ReFarm was delighted to take part in this year’s National Ploughing Championships in Tullamore, engaging with farmers, policy makers, and partners on the future of farming and biodiversity.

We were hosted in the Government of Ireland Climate Action Tent by our national bioeconomy research centre, BiOrbic Research Ireland Centre for Bioeconomy, where discussions focused on practical, scalable actions to support nature-positive farming across Ireland.

Professor Martha O’Hagan from Trinity College Dublin, pictured here, co-leads ReFarm’s research team alongside Professor Jane Stout. Their work provides the evidence and guidance that help ReFarm support farmers in delivering measurable biodiversity and climate outcomes.

Events like these highlight the importance of collaboration between farmers, researchers, and policy makers in shaping a sustainable future for Irish agriculture.
