Earlier in 2025, ReFarm hosted a Stakeholder Workshop at Trinity Business School, bringing together a full house of farmers, academics, funders, corporates, state agencies, and environmental organisations. The day was alive with energy, diverse perspectives, and a shared goal: scaling finance for nature through real collaboration.
Attendees explored how impactful, farmer-led, research-backed, and scalable actions can deliver measurable results for biodiversity and climate-positive farming. Highlights included lively discussions on practical interventions — from integrating nature-positive actions into farm systems to the benefits of targeted investments like pond creation.
We are grateful to our funders CIE Tours, Community Foundation of Ireland, John Paul Construction, RWE, BiOrbic, and Trinity Business School for their support. A huge thank you also to our partners Burrenbeo Trust, Farming for Nature, and Trinity College for making the day possible.
The workshop reinforced the strength of collaboration: when farmers, researchers, funders, and partners come together, we can co-create solutions that are practical, measurable, and transformative for Ireland’s farmland. ReFarm looks forward to building on this expertise and hosting more workshops later in the year.
